Entry rules in Egypt after the Coronavirus pandemic
After the pandemic situation, the Egyptian go government had put into force many rules and regulations. Since July 1, 2020, the government of Egypt had allowed the communication between the foreign countries and Egypt by permitting international flights from the airports of Egypt. Some airlines had their own rules and restrictions. An UK citizen should check with the airline he or she is traveling. After the passengers reach Egypt, they will be subjected to health checkup. Passengers or travelers from any part of the world have to get a monitored card completed with their own personal details. They have to provide the airport authorities with the correct health insurance policies. All the foreign people are to undergo a rapid test for corona in case they were infected with the new variants. They need to show PCR certificates on arrival and also when was the test done. PCR test must be done at most 72 hours before boarding the flight. Only passengers from London Heathrow are allowed to take test no more than 96 hours. Children under 6 years of age are exempt from providing proofs of PCR tests done. AN UK citizen should not use NHS system in order to test negative only to travel to another country. Everyone should arrange to take a test that is private and ensure the PCR results to be negative in order to travel to another country.
Fees to apply for an Egyptian visa
If a visa is a tourist visa and is for single entry, the visa validity is for 90 days and the stay validity is for 30 days. The visa processing will take from 5 to 7 days. The fee is 50.00USD. This is a 30 day visa.
If a visa is a tourist visa and us for multiple entries, the visa is valid for 90 days and the stay validity is for 30 days. The processing time of the visa is 5 to 7 days. The fees to apply for this visa is 85.00USD. This is also a 30 day visa.

Types Of Egyptian Visas
Tourist visa if an UK citizen is planning to take a tour in Egypt or to visit their relatives there, then they are eligible to opt for a tourist visa. The passport should be valid for 6 months in order to stay there. There should be a proof of hotel bookings and flight tickets so that they are easily allowed to visit the place without any kind of difficulties.
Business visa There are people who want to set up a business or expand their businesses in Egypt, can apply for this visa. The organization or the institution or the company should give a letter stating the reason of visiting Egypt of that professional who’s visiting.
Documents required for Egyptian visa
There is a short list of documents to be carried with :
- Passport valid for at least six months from arrival date
- Travel itinerary
- Supporting letter e.g. letter from company or invitation letter for business/family visits ( applicable only if a UK citizen is a working professional)
- Hotel bookings/details about places to visit if an UK citizen is going as a tourist.
- If an UK citizen is applying for business visa, they should provide 2 copies of company letter containing the purpose of his or her trip and financial guarantee of the company

The e-Visa must be printed on a sheet of blank letter-sized white paper. Double-side or reduced printing will not be accepted. Applicants with more than one nationality should choose which passport to use to fill out the application, as the same passport must be used to travel to Egypt. A UK applicant should note that the information that appears on the travel document and what is provided on the e-visa application must be identical.
If a UK citizen wants to travel to Sharm el Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba, and Taba resorts for up to 15 days, then he or she will receive a free entry permission stamp upon arrival. If that person intend to travel out of these areas or stay longer than 15 days, then he or she must get a visa.
