What is Immigration?
If you are seriously considering a Suriname Immigration, then it is best to know what constitutes a move like this.
It essentially means when a person travels and moves their residences internationally. However, in order to fit the bill they should not be native or have permanent residence of the new country.

Requirements
As mentioned above, visitors will first have to get a temporary tourist visa, if they want to follow it up with immigration.
The application process for a Suriname Tourist visa will become easy if you have all the documents beforehand. We have provided you with a list of things, to prepare prior:
- A passport, valid for 6 months at least.
- The passport should sport three blank pages at the very least, along with a cover and bio page.
- A complete itinerary of the visit.
- Hotel, motel, hostel reservation details (should include information like address, phone number.)
- Two passport pictures (follow prescribed guidelines when clicking them).
- Underage applicants will also need to submit a signed consent letter from a parent/guardian.
- If you wish to turn the tourist visa into a permanent residence then – a Xerox of a Suriname citizen will be required.

Once you connect with an agency, you can follow these steps to get a Suriname Tourist Visa, quick and easy:
- After collecting all documents, visit the official website of the travel company.
- Fill up the visa application form and attach the documents, at least 30 days before the travel day.
- Submit the visa fee depending on single or multiple entries. You will also have to pay a nominal service fee.
- The agency will need at least 7-9 days to process the visa.
- They will email it to the applicant once it is done. Print out a hard copy and carry it with you during your travels.

Requirements to become a resident
The Suriname Government must check the following requirements regarding the person who wants to immigrate:
- They must have a visitor’s visa, which will then be extended.
- They have to pass a background check with the police authorities.
- They have to supply documents, such as copies of birth certificates and passports.
- They will also need a guarantor who has to be a citizen and resident of Suriname.
It should be noted that immigration rules will be different for someone of Suriname descent.
Immigration policies

The tourist visa to Suriname lasts for 60 to 90 days, depending on its type. You can also extend it up to one year.

- The passport should have a six-month validity left along with at least one blank page for the officer to use.
- Fill in the form for a permanent residency and cooperate with all the checking procedures.
- Submit all necessary documents. Once the Suriname Government approves your immigration application, you will get a residency in a few months.
- After a person gets the resident status, they have to get it renewed after every two years.
- You can only apply for a permanent residence after completing five years of stay as a resident.
