HOW TO APPLY FOR AN E-VISA?
All the visitors get a maximum duration of 90 days to stay in Surinam on an e-visa. The visa usually expires in around 180 days.
These are the simple and easy 3 steps to get an e-visa from Aruba to Suriname
STEP 1 - Fill the Application form and upload the documents
This is the easiest step. Register an account on your name on the online website for the Tourist visa. After registering, fill the application form provided on the website. Do remember to upload the required documents for your visa.
STEP 2 – Pay the fees for the visa online
You need to pay the desired amount of money after you have applied for your visa. Paying through the online method is very easy. You can pay by a direct bank transfer or through a debit/credit card. Even option like paying through PayPal is also available for your convenience. Once the fee is paid, you will have to confirm your identity through a confirmation mail sent to you at your registered email address. Once confirmed, you will receive your visa in the form of a PDF file.
STEP 3 - Print-out a copy of your e-visa
Download the PDF file of your e-visa and voila! You have your visa ready in a very short period. Remember to always carry a hard copy of your e-visa while traveling anywhere.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR AN E-VISA
For the citizens of Aruba, there are 2 main types of e-visas available- The Tourist E-Visa and the Business E-Visa.
For The Tourist E-Visa
- Copy of Passport- You must have a passport with a validity of at least 6 months and that too beyond the date of expiry of the visa. Always carry a scanned copy of all the important details like expiry dates, personal details, and passport issues. dates.
- Passport Photographs – The photograph attached to your passport should necessarily have a white background and it should be 3X4 cm in size.
[NOTE: Photographs should not be older than 6 months.]
- Travel itinerary – Before booking tickets to travel to Aruba, check for available accommodation and flight itinerary. (Tickets don’t count under itinerary. You must have a reservation for accommodation in Aruba to be counted in a travel itinerary.)
- Accommodation booking – Accommodation details like bookings of your hotel or apartment are necessary to be provided. In cases of staying with friends/family, contact details and address details are required.

For the Business E-visa
- Invitation letter - An invitation letter, from the institution you are visiting has to be issued stating all the necessary information like the purpose of visitation (business meetings, etc.), duration of the visit, etc. The letter should be signed by a senior manager of the specified institution for it to be taken into consideration.
- Pre-approval invitation letter – A pre-approved invitation letter has to be granted by ‘The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Suriname’. The company will also be required to provide a copy of the chamber of commerce license.
- Letters of reference - These letters are written stating the writer’s engagement with you addressing the embassy you’re applying for the business visa for. This letter has to be written by a person who can attest to your behalf.

IMPORTANT NOTES
- Every traveler including infants and children is required to have an e-visa.
- Additional documents like birth certificates; NOC, etc. might be required for minors.
- Your passport must be under a minimum validity of 6 months and it should have at least 1 blank page for usage by the Surinam immigration officer.
- While visiting a friend or relative, details like address proof, identity proofs, and invitation letters by the relative will be required.
- In case your trip is sponsored by a host in Suriname, you would have to submit their bank statements, identity proofs, and sponsorship letter.
