  • Emergency Travel Documents for the Nepal immigration:

How can I apply for a visa to Nepal?

Visas for overseas tourists are fairly straightforward to obtain in Nepal. Here are three approaches.
  1. Visit the Nepali embassy or consulate in your city.
You must bring a passport with a validity term of more than six months and at least two blank pages to the embassy, as well as two passport-sized photos (3.5cm*4.5cm) and an application form. Visa applications will not be accepted if the passport's validity is shorter than six months. By the way, there aren't many complicated visa procedures at Nepali embassies and consulates abroad.

2. Fill out an online application for an electronic visa.

To save time when you arrive in Nepal, fill out an application form and upload your photo on the Tourist Visa Online website.
Please note that the electronic visa's entrance time is only valid for 15 days, with the expiration date printed on the return receipt. If the tourist does not enter Nepal within 15 days of applying, a fresh application must be submitted. The duration of stay after the entry is determined by the visa.

3. Apply for a Visa On Arrival in Nepal.

Travelers are allowed to cross the border and pay for their visas as long as they have passport photos. The visa fee to Apply Nepal Visa can be paid in any currency, although some border crossings only accept US dollars. Passengers arriving at Kathmandu Airport are not required to show their passport photos.

Concerning Visa Extension:

The duration of a Nepal visa can be extended for up to 150 days. Visitors who are visiting Nepal for the first time can apply for a stay of up to 90 days. Then, month after month, renew your visa. If you need to stay in Nepal for a few more days and the visa deadline is approaching, you must apply for a visa extension at the Nepal National Immigration Bureau in Kathmandu.
You must pay a fine per day if your visa has been out of date for fewer than 30 days. Because a delay could cause you to miss your flight, you should take care of your visa as soon as possible at Kathmandu's Central Immigration Office.
In Kathmandu and Pokhara, travelers can extend their visa validity for an additional 15 days by paying a charge (a 15-day extension fee should be levied if the period is less than 15 days in every extension.). If you plan to stay for a long time, you should get a 90-day visa at the start rather than a 60-day extension which can be done with the help of Tourist Visa Online.
A Nepal visa is an endorsement or stamp on a foreign citizen's passport or other travel document indicating that he is permitted to enter or transit through Nepal's territory. It's one of the required documents for entering Nepal. Anyone traveling to a third country via Nepal must apply for a visa, regardless of how long they want to stay or whether they leave the airport.
