The documents and needs of GCC residents travelling to Armenia
The visa application with the embassy of Armenia is required for all GCC residents who are applying for an Armenian visa.
The document issued by the Ministry of Justice of Armenia is required.
- The original copy of an ID card with a photocopy is also required.
- The applicant is eligible for an Armenian visa. For example, the applicant should have a valid passport which must be at least 6 months old.
- The applicant must submit his/her original passport to the consular officer.

Armenia has signed agreements with Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC) which permits GCC nationals to enter without visas for short-term visits to Yerevan and other cities in Armenia, provided that they arrive by air or by sea through Georgia or Iran. They cannot stay in the country for more than five working days. Armenia is part of the Schengen Area which means that citizens from all European Union member states don't need visas either. An Armenia visa for GCC residents is a type of visa that allows GCC residents to enter Armenia without the need to apply for a visa in advance. A GCC resident will be granted access to Armenia only if they can present their passport and demonstrate that they are an active resident of one of the following Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates. However, A citizen can also enter Armenia through the use of other types of visas such as transit or airport transit visas if their stay in Armenia does not exceed 14 days.
